This Action Jaxon guy.

Okay,

So we have all learned how Ajax came to be Action Jaxon but we still haven’t seen how amazingly handsome this dude is. Tonight is your lucky night!

Ajax aka Action Jaxon has officiallly been apart of the family for 2 weeks. Its been a great 2 weeks too! Jax and Brick ( our english bulldog) are forever buds lol. I don’t think either could live without the other now.  For all this boy went thru he is amazing. He watches over my girls very well too. He made it clear right away that he does own the couch 😉 . In one of the last photos you’ll see him wearing the Ruffwear Webmaster harness. This harness was recommended on tripawds. I found a local pet shop that carried them, so we could try one on and fit it properly. It really is amazing.  Jaxon really requires no help but sometimes I noticed he isn’t sure how to get up into the van. He is a muscular boy at 56lb. The handle really aides me in helping him lift into the van. He is also learning how to be companion again. Remember we don’t fully know his past. We know he had to have been a pet based on his behavior, but I don’t believe he is used to being walked or in busy areas. We live in a quiet neighborhood so I set to take him on a walk. We got half a block when he got nervous and started leaning into me and herding to the side. At one point he just laid down. I couldn’t coax him lol. I used the handle to pick him up enough to get him going again. I truly say its a great harness for anyone with or without a tripod.

My gorgeous boy!

This is the ruffwear webmaster harness with the roaming leash.

Action Jaxon who?

I saw this dog pop up on petfinder about two weeks ago. He just looked too cute! I went ahead clicked on the photo, and began reading the best dog profile ever written.  I learned about an amazing dog followed by the fact that he was special because, he was a tripod dog.  His profile was absolutely everything I was looking for in a dog. Right then and there I applied to adopt Ajax. A week later I drove three hours each way after work to meet and bring my boy home. He adjusted in less than three days. My other dog and Ajax are now loving brothers in under a week. The whole family is completely smitten, and my youngest child has become his favorite two legged buddy.

My loving boy is from the Dallas, Texas area. Rescued from a high kill shelter. A good samaritan brought him in with a terribly broken and infected paw. His best hope was to ampute to the femur. As bad as his paw was, it seems he was getting around on three legs for a long time. His surgery was in early August. He went to his foster August 14th and I adopted him on  August 30th. He zooms around the house and yard with his fur brother as if he was no different. That is where he got the nickname Action Jaxon.
